History: (Anything that says Meelie is supposed to say Haze, I'm feeling slightly lazy and don't want to change it)
Meelie was born on July 16, 1987. She was the chase family's first and only child. The family was happy and one of the most respected in a small farm community in Iowa. It was a cold winter day when all changed however. The date was December 18, 1993. Meelie can remember the date well because of the events that happened that day. The memory is burned into her mind, replaying constantly in a circular motion as if it was a merry-go-round. She was playing with some of the farm animals in the barn, trying to keep warm by keeping active. She kept concentrating on how cold it was and how she desperately wanted warmth. At that exact moment, she noticed a gas lamp in the corner. She ran to the gas lamp and accidently hit it with a swaying arm. The gas spilled and the fire from the lamp ingited the gas and the hay in the barn. Meelie panicked and as her emotions outraged, the flames grew. Billows of smoke arose from the barn and it seemed everything was being turned to ash in the unmerciful path of the fire. The fire to the barn was unnoticed until Mark went to go fetch Meelie for supper. He ran into the barn, through the flames in desperate attempt to save his daughter. When Meelie was able to see his silhouted figure through the intense flames and heat, he panic grew. For now, she was not only worrying for her own safety, but her father's as well. Her rising panic only fueled the fire further as she was trying the stomp it out, but instead the embers flew and spread throughout the barn, trapping her father underneath a ceiling beam that had fallen. As the beam went up in flames, so did her father. His screams were forever embeded into Meelie's memory. At the death of her father, he panic was replaced by remorse and sadness. Her tears seemed to extinguish the flames as both Meelie and Charlie remember. The two ran to Mark and rolled the beam off of what remained of the husband and father. Meelie was too engulfed in her own sadness to even begin to think of life without her father.
Four years after her father's death, Meelie was beginning to understand what had happened that night. Her mother had taken her out of school and was home schooling her in order to avoid an emotional outbreak from her daughter. She did not want her seven year old daughter to fall victim to childhood ridicule. At age twelve, Meelie's grandmother took her and Charlie to Hawaii for two weeks. She believed they both needed some time to relax and unwind. However, Meelie was once again emotionally scarred. She and her grandmother were walking along the shoreline late one night when Meelie saw something floating in the water out of the corner of her eye. She swam out to it and discovered it was a half eaten dolphin. She screamed in surprise and tears came to her eyes as her hand out reached towards the sea mammal. She wasn't sure why she had the impulse to touch the creature, but she had. Her entire body froze and a lifetime of memories flooded her vision. From one touch to the dolphins cold skin, Meelie was able to imagine how it died. She hated the feeling that death had given her. It was as though death surrounded her in every way.
On the plane ride home, her grandmother died of a fatal heart attack. The funeral was two days later at the farm. She was buried next to her son. It was what she had said she wanted in her will. When Meelie was going through her grandmother's things, she found a beautiful conch shell. The one she had found and asked her grandmother to hold. She smiled and put it into her pocket, swearing never to let it out of her sight. To this day, Meelie believes that some of her grandmother's spirit is attached to the shell, watching over her.
Two years after her grandmother's death, Charlie was making more and more visits to the town's doctor. She had been afflicted with lung cancer. It was in it's early stages but it was going to be fatal. It was in such an odd part of the lungs that it was impossible to remove by surgery. Charlie was moved to the hospital for permanent vigil. Charlie was unable to take Meelie with her to the hospital and so asked around for anyone who knew of somewhere she could stay. She called her sister, Meridith and sent Meelie to go stay with her at her home in Las Vegas. Meelie, age fourteen said goodbye to her mother and has not spoken to her since then.
Two years into high school and life seemed fine. She had established a few stable friends and had even been through a relationship or two. Meelie's world seemed to be turning right side up again until her best friend's Sweet Sixteen. It was Caitlyn's Sweet Sixteen and it was the biggest party since ever for Meelie. She and all the guests were having fun until Meelie decided to go searching for Caitlyn. She had been missing for quite a while and Meelie had some very interesting information for her friend. When Meelie went to go check the restroom at the party hall, she was horrified at what she saw. There her friend lay, limbs at the other end of the room, blood everywhere. Haze couldn't understand how it could have happened or what vile person would have commited such an unthinkable act. As it turned out, Caitlyn had been raped by her boyfriend, Chad Collins, then murdered for everyone to see. Haze would never be the same mentally even though no one would see her pain, she wouldn't let them.
After Caitlyn's murder, Haze's aunt moved her to California where she attended high school. It was this period in her life that Haze discovered the beauty of photography. It allowed her to express her inner thoughts and feelings in a whole new way. She took every class that her high school offered and one of her teachers told her about Sulle Pareti. Her interests were instantly sparked. In her senior year, she applied and was almost imediately accepted.
Haze completed her freshman and sophomore years almost flawlessly and life seemed good again. She had pushed her guilt over Caitlyn's death behind her and she was finally able to look people in the eye once more. She was constantly surrounded by her friends and teachers and once more, she was always grinning stupidly. Until she turned on the news one evening.
The evening report explained how Chad had escaped from jail and was now on the loose. Of course, Haze knew what this meant for her, death. She was the reason Chad was convicted in the first place. She could feel it in her fragile bones that he was bent on revenge against her.
For the next two weeks, Haze boarded herself into her apartment. No one came in, and no one left. She mainly slept in her bathroom which was the only room in her apartment with no windows and a lock on the door. But sadly, this was not enough for our little Haze.
Chad managed to sneak into her apartment while she was sleeping. But no, he had to kill her while she was awake. He needed to see the lights leave her eyes when he showed her how much he appreciated the tip off to the police that night. He searched the apartment angrily and came across the bathroom. He tried opening the door, but it was locked. The sound immediately awakened Haze. She sat up in the bath tub and stared motionless at the door. She did not fear death, only pain.
Chad managed to break down the door with a single kick and saw Haze sitting their helpless. He smiled evilly at her and took his time walking to her. He grabbed her violently by the neck and dragged her out into the living room. He threw her on the floor and ignorantly walked away into the kitchen to supply himself with a knife for peeling. Seeing her only opportunity to get away, Haze ran for her door and ran to the roof of her apartment complex.
Hot on her tail, Chad ran after her, knife in hand. He cornered her to where she was standing on the absolute edge of the building. In hopes she could get away from him, Haze turned and jumped from the building. As she was falling, the last thing Haze remembers is Chad's hysterical laughter and a sudden burning pain in her back as he knife Chad had dropped in his hysteria lodged itself into her. It decided Haze was to be it's new sheath.

Overall Personality: Haze is one that loves to have fun. She will do most anything for a good laugh. Even if she comes off as immature, she doesn't care. She was forced to grow up to fast so now she's going back in time, to relive her childhood. However, don't think she's always all fun and games. She has an extremely short temper. Tell her she's immature, see what happens. She has no problem telling people how it is. She also believes that if you have something to say to someone, say it to their face, not their back. She loves to smile. So practical jokes and pranks are her style. You might just want to peek around the corner before you walk there. Haze might be standing there waiting to throw something at you.
Haze likes to be in the spotlight. This may be one reason she acts a little immature at times. However, I suggest you leave her alone if she says to. Haze craves to be set apart from everyone else. She wants to make a name for herself and be an individual, which she most certainly is. In her world we are bestowed with two paths. We may walk in the footsteps left for us, or we may walk away and began our own trail. The second is the path Haze has chosen.
When she is alone, Haze is generally very quiet. This is because when she is alone her mind wanders to her three year childhood. Inside, she is a very sad soul when alone or in the dark. However, Haze acts as though nothing is wrong. Very few people know of her past and the affects it has left with her. Generally when she is caught in remorse she cracks open a riddle when asked why she looks so glum. If not a riddle, then she begins talking in circular logic that only the truly comprehensive can understand. Then, she begins to laugh. Laughter is her way. Whether she is sad, happy, scared, or angry. She laughs a terrible lot. Besides her laughter, she has an overactive imagination. She can take the littliest story that has no interest value and turn it into the greatest adventure tale you have ever heard. Her overactive imagination also has flaws. It keep her up at night with strained visions of what may happen.
Flaws: These flaws just perfect me.
Hazely, like everyone else, alive or dead, is crawling with beautiful flaws. She has a large slit on her back from where the knife entered her body right before death and a few burn marks on her arms and legs from the barn fire that killed her father. Her personality flaws are that she gives people second, then third, then fourth, and so on chances. She believes no one can do any wrong. Also, she has an overactive imagination which of course runs away with her.
Likes: These are the things in the afterlife Hazely can not survive without: Childish games, tequila, rum, vodka, the drums, rock music, camera, sharpies, hair dye, pretty plastic hair bows, her 'To Write Love on Her Arms' shirts, meeting new people, fantasy, divination, weddings, penguins, frogs, and hopscotch.
Dislikes: These are the things in the afterlife Hazely can look away from: People that are too serious, mean people, Kaluha, satan, tennis shoes, hospitals, needles, and being dead.
Hobbies:
+Writing lyrics
+Pulling songs apart for true meanings
+Playing games with people
+Meeting new people..err..souls.
Fears:
+Fire
+Needles
+Porcelin Dolls
+Mosquitos

Status: Single
Orientation: Bisexual
Strengths: My strengths just seem to keep me together.
Hazely writes very well. To get out her inner anguish, Hazely writes her own lyrics and poetry and will then sing them in random corners of the isle just to get it out there. She also has relatively strong upper body stength. She can lift about 100 lbs. Hazely is also very good at reading people. She seems to have been born with an eye for knowing what kind of person someone else was before even talking to them.
Weaknesses: My weaknesses just tear me apart at the seams.
Hazely has a very fragile weak spot for men covered in tattoos and piercings. She is also a slow runner and is scared easily. She's not really much of a challenge for the demons around her because she's easily intimidated. However, she'll never let you know that she's intimidated. The only place you'll be able to see it is her eyes.
